Robert (Bob) Butler serves as a Senior Advisor to The Chertoff Group. Mr. Butler's career in information technology, intelligence, and national security spans 32 years of both public and private sector experience. Previously Mr. Butler served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Space and Cyber Policy from August 2009 to May 2010 and then became the Defense Department's first Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Cyber Policy, from June 2010 to August 2011. more >>>

 

Bryan Cunningham

Senior Advisor

Bryan Cunningham is a Senior Advisor to The Chertoff Group. Mr. Cunningham is an information security and privacy lawyer who served previously in senior intelligence and law enforcement positions in the U.S. government, most recently serving as Deputy Legal Advisor to then-National Security Advisor Condoleezza Rice. more >>>

Senior Advisor

Lt. Gen. Emerson N. Gardner, USMC, (ret.) is a Senior Advisor to The Chertoff Group. He is a recognized expert on the Department of Defense programming and budgeting process and assists defense and non-defense companies in strategy development as an independent consultant.  more>>>

 

 

Robert Kandra

Senior Advisor

Robert Kandra is a Senior Advisor to The Chertoff Group. Mr. Kandra recently served as the Associate Executive Assistant Director in the National Security Branch of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). In this capacity, he was responsible for executive oversight of all foreign and domestic FBI programs for counterintelligence. more >>>

 

Chief Charles Kammerdener

Senior Advisor

Chief Charles Kammerdener is a Senior Advisor to The Chertoff Group. Chief Kammerdener was appointed to the New York City Housing Police Department in September 1973 and began his career in Brookly. He was promoted to Detective in July 1983; Sergeant in August 1983; Lieutenant Commander Detective Squad in May 1988; Captain in May 1989; Deputy Chief in December 1994. He is a retired Senior Executive Operations Officer with 30 years of experience in the Central Intelligence Agency's National Clandestine Service (NCS). He is also the Managing Director at OSG Consulting, a company he founded, that provides strategic business and operations guidance to technology, analytics, telecommunications, and cybersecurity companies. Dr. Samantha Ravich is an expert in national security and international political risk. She currently co-chairs the National Commission for the Review of the Research and Development Programs of the U.S. Intelligence Community.
