Cameron Fegers is a Senior Associate in The Chertoff Group’s Federal Strategy practice.

Cameron is an experienced growth strategist having supported numerous Fortune 500 defense & government contractors and commercial firms scale or enter federal markets. He specializes in the collection and analysis of market, customer and competitor intelligence, and characterizing the strategic implications of market research on his clients’ growth strategies. Cameron brings advisory experience across a variety of technology areas, including military logistics, autonomy, AI/ML, counter-UAS, air and missile defense, defense electronics, C6ISR, IT services and engineering services. The range of client services he delivers spans the following areas: strategic market assessments, competitive intelligence and Black Hats, opportunity identification, federal budget analysis, new market entry, contract vehicle analysis, voice-of-customer and cost modeling exercises.

Cameron joined The Chertoff Group following his tenure in the Growth Office at Booz Allen Hamilton, where he directly supported the firm’s Navy, Marine Corps, Joint Combatant Command, and National Security markets. In this role, Cameron was a key voice in the capture process for priority corporate and account-level contract pursuits. He was responsible for translating open-source market intelligence into tactical recommendations to inform early-stage proposal shaping, which included tactics for strategic teaming, customer engagement and mitigating competitor positioning strategies. On his most notable projects he led competitive intelligence activities for the award of a new $1+ billion contract requirement, led development of the corporate Counter-UAS growth strategy and participated in shaping various market strategies in the Navy & Marine Corps line of business.

Earlier, Cameron worked as an Engagement Manager at Avascent (acquired by Oliver Wyman), and as a Senior Manager with The Beacon Group (acquired by Accenture), where he gained experience advising global government contractors on organic and inorganic growth strategies. In these positions, he led client interactions, lifecycle engagement delivery, and developed tailored strategies and tactics to help clients execute & win in their markets.
