Gerry Sleefe

Bringing over 30 years of combined private-and government-sector experience, Dr. Gerry Sleefe is an expert in technologies for both cyber and physical security. His technical expertise encompasses information technology, industrial control, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and encryption. His management expertise includes technology assessment, risk management, and quality assurance. Dr. Sleefe served as a Congressional Fellow to the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Homeland Security where he led the development of new legislation for security-related technology acquisition and cyber-security policies. Previously, Dr. Sleefe served as the National Security Executive Officer at Sandia National Laboratories where he developed national security technology strategies and coordinated relationships between the Laboratory and its national security partners, including the Department of Energy, the Department of Defense, and the Department of Homeland Security.  While at Sandia, Dr. Sleefe also served as the Director of the Energy and Cyber Technologies Center and was the Labs Deputy Chief Engineer. Prior industry experiences include engineering positions at the Charles Stark Draper Laboratory, the Northrop Grumman Corporation, and the Gillette Company. Gerry Sleefe holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from M.I.T., a B.S. in Engineering Sciences from Hofstra University, and a certificate in Technology Management from Cal Tech. He is an inventor on seven U.S. patents and has published over 50 technical papers.
