Our methodology is a modular diagnostic planning tool that helps organizations assess, mitigate and monitor risks to facilities, technology assets and business operations. It is grounded in authoritative government sources and standards and sharpened by real-world engagements across critical infrastructure sectors. Working alongside private sector partners, we have identified and refined best practices that produce smarter, more durable security programs.
Enacted by Congress after 9/11, the SAFETY Act provides liability protections to organizations that deploy validated anti-terrorism “technologies.” The term “technologies” has been interpreted to include products, services and programs. Specifically, the SAFETY Act creates liability protections for claims arising from acts of terrorism where “Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technologies” have been deployed. Those protections extend to downstream users as well. DHS maintains strict evaluation standards for technologies seeking this designation.
