Chertoff Group Adds New Senior Advisors

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Chertoff Group, a global security and growth advisory firm, is pleased to announce the addition of three Federal experts to its team of senior advisors. Troy Miller, Eric Leckey and Jim Williams bring diverse leadership experience to further enhance the firm’s capabilities. At The Chertoff Group, each will assist with business development pursuits for clients in the Federal Strategy – Growth business.

Troy A. Miller is a recognized leader in law enforcement and counterterrorism, with more than three decades of experience advancing national and homeland security. As Acting Commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Miller commanded the nation’s largest law enforcement agency, overseeing 67,000 employees and the agency’s core missions of counterterrorism, border security and trade enforcement. As the Executive Director of the National Targeting Center (NTC) CBP’s flagship counterterrorism entity – Miller led a team conducting intelligence analysis and advanced targeting to mitigate threats to national security.

Eric Leckey brings more than 20 years’ experience in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) ecosystem. He most recently served as the associate administrator for Mission Support at the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Mr. Leckey led a team of 1,500 mission support professionals and an additional 600 disaster reservists delivering on requirements including administrative and real property services, information technology and cybersecurity, procurement, security and human capital.

Jim Williams is an acquisitions expert, with more than 18 years in the Federal Senior Executive Service, leading major programs and acquisitions. He served as Acting Administrator of the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) and the first GSA Federal Acquisition Service Commissioner. He was the first director of US-VISIT, a DHS program to track the entry of foreign visitors with biometrics after 9/11.
