Ron is a principal in the Security Risk & Resilience practice where he leads Executive Protection and Event Security engagements for Fortune 500, family office and multinational clients.
Prior to joining The Chertoff Group, Ron spent 26 years with the United States Secret Service (USSS), rising through the special agent ranks to supervisory and executive leadership roles culminating as the agency’s 23rd Deputy Director and Acting Director from 2024-2025. As the agency head, Ron led a comprehensive transformation of the USSS, restructuring its organizational framework and revolutionizing a protective operations paradigm shift.
He brings extensive operational and crisis management experience from leading the USSS in protecting the nation’s highest-ranking officials and overseeing the planning of National Special Security Events (major national-level events designated by the Department of Homeland Security and secured by the USSS), as well as directing investigations into financial, cyber and protective intelligence-related crimes. For his service, Ron received the Department of Homeland Security’s Distinguished Service Medal.
As the firm’s senior protective services subject matter expert, Ron regularly advises global brands on risks to their executives, facilities, personnel and high-profile events.

- Advised a Fortune 100 financial institution through a complete re-design of its executive protection function;
- Evaluated the comprehensive protection program for one of the United States’ largest technology companies;
- Assessed the residence and office for an UHNWI based in the New York Metropolitan area; and
