Brendan North is a Director in the Security Risk and Resilience practice at The Chertoff Group, where he leads client engagements across a range of complex security matters. Brendan advises Fortune 100 corporations, prominent family offices and global industry leaders on navigating security crises, managing operational disruption and redesigning security organizations to be business-enabling and agile amidst a dynamic global threat environment.
Brendan also helps clients align global security operations with broader organizational strategy, and build the intelligence capabilities that allow them to anticipate and navigate global risks with confidence.
Prior to joining the Chertoff Group, Brendan worked for the Crisis and Security Consulting practice at Control Risks, where he focused on business resilience and crisis management. Prior to Control Risks, Brendan was contracted as an all-source analyst and acting team lead for the Rapid Feedback Team at National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, where he regularly briefed senior agency leaders from across the Intelligence Community on an array of geopolitical crises.

- Spearheaded executive risk assessments for a global fintech company, including managing the elevated security risks surrounding the company’s bitcoin exposure
- Advised multiple clients across the critical infrastructure space on executive risks and positioning against global threats
- Created the Concept of Operations for a Fortune 100 company’s new risk intelligence organization
- Led the governance build and global alignment for a Fortune 200 company’s business resilience program
