As President of The Chertoff Group and Head of its Security Risk & Resilience practice, Ben is responsible for driving the firm’s performance and client delivery, while continuing to advise global companies and family offices on their most pressing security risks and challenges.
Some notable examples of Ben’s advisory practice include his review of multiple Fortune 500 executive protection programs; re-designing a Fortune 10 company’s corporate security function; and operating as a fractional Chief Security Officer for a prominent AI company and a leading family office. In addition to corporate and physical security mandates, Ben leads the firm’s business resilience and enhanced due diligence business lines.
In this capacity he helped develop the inaugural global business resilience function for a Fortune 50 multinational corporation. He has also led dozens of due diligence investigations throughout Latin America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, and regularly advises general counsels and senior corporate decision-makers on political exposure and off-balance-sheet risk.
Over the last two decades, Ben has held senior leadership roles across government and the private sector, including as President and a Board Director of International Defense & Aerospace Group and as a United States Air Force Security Forces and Antiterrorism Officer. In government, Ben helped oversee security of our nation’s nuclear arsenal; and designed, built, and led security programs in all threat environments — including within the Middle East, Europe and North America.
Ben serves on the Board of Operation Renewed Hope, a 501(c)(3) dedicated to ending Veteran Homelessness, and is a Distinguished Graduate of the United States Air Force Academy.
